The previous tank was a ~2L alloy box with a rubber tube inserted. This was obviously part of the original build. Despite being in good condition it appeared to leak in that oil accumulated on the chassis plate immediately below it. I assume this was some sort of vapour spray from the breather when blasting it around Knockhill. It was also inaccessible so was very difficult to monitor if it was effective. It also blocked off some of the airflow from the oil cooler (a very necessary device on a Megabusa). The new device is straight off ebay is 1L and has a filter on the overflow connection (made in China of course). A special stainless steel bracket was fabricated to attach it to the chassis. The new tank has a level tube on the side to keep track of the overflow. The filter should stop any vapour spillage.
